Juliet Russo was born in 1999 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is currently based in Chicago, USA. Juliet is a visual artist who creates mixed media artworks, paintings, sculptures, and conceptual works. Her artworks are based on imaginary landscapes and are inspired by films, topography, and personal experiences. By exploring the division between the realm of memory and the realm of experience, she creates abstract forms.
Her works establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. She tries to develop forms that do not follow logical criteria but are based only on subjective associations, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations.
Her work has been exhibited at Omnibus Gallery in Dresden, Germany - Heaven Gallery in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Upcoming show - CICA Musuem - Czong Institute for Contemporary Art-Gimpo, Korea
Juliet has attended The University of Buenos Aires; she studied Art History and Film and is currently attending the University of Illinois at Chicago.
